CV

Clare Chun-yu Liu 劉純聿 (born in Taipei, Taiwan, based in London and Manchester, UK) is a visual artist working with moving image and Vice-Chancellor PhD Candidate at Manchester School of Art. 


Her practice-based fine art PhD re-interprets chinoiserie, a European visual style mimicking Chinese motifs, from a perspective informed by postcolonial thinking. Outside of the PhD, she has been exploring the Chinese diaspora based on her familial experience.
